Happy family photo session. 1-year-old baby with her family celebrating first milestone

Dear Kate,

What a delightful treat to receive the link for the final shots. We absolutely love each one of them, and I'm having a hard time deciding which ones I should print and frame: wish I had enough walls for each one of them lol One thing for sure, they will all go in Oliver's next photobook, which I can't wait to create. Thank you so much for all the beautiful edits. We loved having you capture this big milestone in our parenthood journey, and we look forward to celebrating future ones together again.

We wish you a beautiful spring.

Hello Kate,

Thank you for the beautiful pictures! I was shocked to see how great they are! I am not a photogenic or camera-ready person, but somehow you managed to take photos with one that is better. You made our first photoshoot as a family so special and unforgettable. Thank you for capturing a memory that will stay with us forever. I appreciate your patience and guiding us into the poses. We needed someone like that. It was one of the best decisions I made to work with you, and after that photoshoot, I know it won't be the last!

Best, Tam Lee

FAQs

What kind of photos will I get at my session?

Your family session will include photos of your whole family together, including mom with kids, dad with kids, kids alone, and more! There will be a mix of classic-looking-at-the-camera shots and candid, natural moments of your family interacting. The session will include album and landscape formats, close-ups, and full-body shots.

What does editing involve?

Editing involves a range of processes to improve an image's quality. These include color correction, adjusting lighting, enhancing light-shadow details, removing skin imperfections, whitening teeth, and enhancing the image's sharpness and volume.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are ideally scheduled within the first two weeks of your baby's arrival, when they are still very sleepy and flexible. Once the baby arrives and you both are well, you should contact me, and we can adjust the session date and time based on your preferences.

When is the best time to schedule a maternity session?

The ideal time to book a maternity photo session is generally between the 26th and 36th weeks of pregnancy. However, it depends on the expecting mother's preferences and desired photography style. Here are a few factors to consider when deciding on the timing:

  1. Belly size: From the 26th to 36th week, the belly is typically prominent and beautifully rounded, making it ideal for capturing the essence of pregnancy.

  2. Comfort level: Scheduling the session during this timeframe allows the mother to be comfortable during the shoot. She may still have enough energy and mobility to pose comfortably without feeling too fatigued or uncomfortable.

  3. Avoiding potential complications: Booking the session before the 36th week helps minimize the risk of unexpected complications or early labor that may hinder the session's ability.
